To some, Alice Horton has been only a fictional character on a soap opera since 1965, but to most of us she has been an extremely real person. Some call her Alice or Mrs. H....But I think most (like I do) like to refer to her as "Gran." This is because to so many of us she reminds us of our own grandmother.
